Product: CT-1 Robot, Disinfection Robot, Delivers Supplies to Quarantine Areas

Facing the challenge of transporting goods and essential supplies to quarantine and lockdown areas, a group of students from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Lac Hong University, in collaboration with Chi Thanh Telecom, has created a disinfection and goods delivery robot.
On August 6th, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union, in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Lac Hong University and Chi Thanh Telecom, launched and tested the robot for disinfection spraying and goods delivery to quarantine areas. After the trial period is complete, the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union will soon deploy the robot in quarantine areas to assist volunteers in transporting goods.
The disinfection and delivery robot uses two motors on its rear wheels, has a remote control with a range of 200m, and connects directly via Wi-Fi or 3G. With dimensions of 890 x 1250 x 790mm (width x depth x height), a 4-hour charging time, and a continuous operating time of 3 to 4 hours, the robot can transport goods weighing up to 100kg on flat surfaces.

Robot

The robot is equipped with a navigation camera, a loudspeaker, and a communication system, allowing the operator to remind and inform patients when the supply vehicle will arrive and ensure they receive their correct portion. Additionally, this robot can replace the task of spraying disinfectant in areas with confirmed cases. Therefore, it can take over these tasks from humans, contributing to the safety of volunteers during the pandemic.
The mission of this robot is to support the Provincial Youth Union’s volunteer team in distributing essential supplies to quarantine areas and hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
